Hello from Santou Camp. I am lying on the bed in my tent writing this. I would like everyone to know this is my first experience sleeping in atent nevermind one with elephants sleeping a couple hundred yards away, a few monkeys on the roof and hippos buried up to their noses in water about 400 feet away. I have the light on on my porch just in case I get some visitors. Lol
Whenwe went to the camp restaurant for a fabulous dinner there were 4 giselles nibbling grass on my front lawnI can actually see the roof of my tent move from the pitter patter of little monkeys. I don’t get concerned because I know they can,t get in. Lol. At 4:00 today we went out in the tsavo ( I spelled it wrong before) national park in the Range Rovers. The tour guy said we hit the jackpot because we saw a cheetah less than 20 feet from our car. He was resting under a tree. We also saw lions but from a distance you had to use binoculars. Besides what we saw earlier, we saw ostriches, 3 kinds of giselles, antelope, and some deer type animals. There are so many different types of birds sometimes in irredescent colors. I can hear the roar of the elephant as I write this. I am pretty tired and we need to be on the rover at 6am to go out again.so I will say good night. Love Fran PS I am taking lots of pictures
I am in awe as you are describing this. Wow, I am so proud of you through this whole journey! I am certain you have given as much as you have gained. God will continue to use your talents! I am sure you are already saying…..”the next time I come here I will do ……..!”
